The client
Meet Marie Axelsson, the driving force behind Naturpralinen. With years of experience in the restaurant business, Marie decided to chase her dream of running a chocolate factory. In the fall of 2006, she embarked on a praline training course. Over time, she dedicated herself to a vocational education and emerged as a praline production pioneer. At Naturpralinen, we craft exclusive, handmade chocolate pralines using top-tier organic raw materials. Marie personally gathers the berries from the lush forests of Värmland, infusing every creation with love and unwavering passion.
The work
Our new look is more than just an image; it mirrors the quality and exclusivity of our products. Our fresh graphic identity should evoke thoughts of the artisanal work behind each praline. Our brand aims for elegance without the flash, organic without the crustiness, and a delightful freshness with a rich chocolatey touch. When you leave the store with a box of Naturpralinen, you should feel a sense of joy, knowing you've treated yourself or someone else to something wonderful. Our packaging is designed to be a piece of jewelry, enhancing your praline experience without stealing the spotlight. The graphic identity is here to elevate the overall impression of the product. Naturpralinen is a premium brand, and our packaging reflects that with a blend of modesty and elegance.
Our logo is crafted from the NOVECENTO WIDE typeface, meticulously customized and printed in capital letters. Below it, our tagline "naturally good" is surrounded by two extended dashes. The decorative pattern draws inspiration from the cocoa plant, artistically assembled to create an elegant design. The cacao plant illustrations are taken from Carl von Linné's original sketches.
For the header, we've chosen the Oriya MN font, a sans-serif font that combines the clear attributes of a serif for a quality and trustworthy feel with a modern and innovative touch. Our body text is in the Grabjon Roman font, a clean serif that acts as a visual link between the logo's NOVECENTO WIDE and the header's ORIYA MN.
Our distinctive green color is inspired by reindeer lichen, often mistaken for white moss. We wanted a color rooted in the natural surroundings where our pralines are made. This light green complements our dark brown chocolate pralines and brings out their richness. We've chosen this color to highlight the exclusive nature of Naturpralinen.
We've put a lot of thought into our design to ensure that when you purchase a box of our pralines, you feel happy and proud. We've worked hard to make our packaging as high-quality as possible, so it isn't just a single-use item. The sash around the package plays a part in this effort. By printing necessary product information on the sash, we keep the box clean and allow you to fully appreciate the decor.
