The client
Textual specializes in scalable content creation for E-commerce, aiming to simplify copywriting and translation through automatically generated content. Their solution blends AI and grammar to ensure text accuracy in all languages.
In addition to this, a colon is added between "text" and "ual", this to distinguish the word and create a more interesting and exciting wordmark. The font chosen to compliment the logo is Montserrat, a modern and geometrically built sans serif. This typeface is just as beautiful in the cut light as black and is subsequently chosen to work both header and body. In the original version, a large pallet is produced in cheerful and youthful colors. In this reworking, I have instead chosen only the color palette streamlined to three shades of turquoise, lending a more serious tone to the brand while maintaining a connection to technology and AI. Three circles below the logo represent Textual's three core services, each filled with these three colors.
The work
The brand strives to exude modernity, innovation, and trustworthiness. Textual's solution combines their platform with a GPT agent and human translators, forming the core of their service. The logo was originally written in the MADE canvas typeface but has undergone significant changes. Hairline thickness was increased for better visibility and readability. The left brackets of the letters "x," "u," and "t" were rounded, giving the logo a sense of forward thinking and movement compared to the original static and old-fashioned design. The logo was also kerned and blocked to achieve the best visual balance in the wordmark.
